The Prestigious Oduduwa Daughters Association [PODA] is a registered non-profit, non-governmental organization founded with a deep commitment to empowering the most vulnerable members of society in Yorubaland and beyond. Our focus is on indigent girl children, orphans, widows, and economically disadvantaged women across Southwestern Nigeria (Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, and Lagos States) as well as Yoruba communities in Edo, Kwara, and Kogi States.

We believe that education, empowerment, and awareness are the cornerstones of building stronger families, resilient communities, and a prosperous society.

Our mission is to implement impactful empowerment, awareness, and educational initiatives that help alleviate the socio-economic  challenges faced by marginalized women and children in Yorubaland.

A future where every girl child, orphan, widow, and indigent woman in Yorubaland is empowered, educated, and equipped to live with dignity, independence, and hope.

At PODA, our focus is on empowering indigent widows and orphans through compassion, support, and advocacy; with a deep sense of responsibility towards the most vulnerable members of our society, we provide essential services, resources, and hope to those in need. Our goal is to create a world where widows and orphans can live with dignity, security, and opportunities for a brighter future.

Our passion for this cause is rooted in our experience and observation of the struggles faced by indigent widows in various communities in Yorubaland. We firmly believe that everyone deserves a second chance to fulfill their potential.
