Poised to change lives
PODA is a registered non-profit, non-governmental organization founded with a deep commitment to empowering the most vulnerable members of society in Yorubaland and beyond. Our focus is on indigent girl children, orphans, widows, and economically disadvantaged women across Southwestern Nigeria (Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, and Lagos States) as well as Yoruba communities in Edo, Kwara, and Kogi States.
SUPPORT our widows’ welfare outreach
Every widow has a story — of love, loss, and resilience. Yet too often, their strength is tested… Through our Widows’ Welfare Outreach, we stand beside them, offering not just food, but hope, dignity, and a sense of belonging.
Three times a year — during Easter, Ramadan, and the End-of-Year season — we reach out to 150 widows with essential food items: rice, beans, garri, vegetable oil, seasoning, and salt. Each package is more than nourishment; it’s a reminder that someone cares.
Twice a year, we also clothe these remarkable women in new attires with matching gele, restoring confidence and pride where hardship once lived.
